We have built the fastest email verification API. We can verify an email in less than 100 milliseconds. However, email verification speed depends on the recipients' servers' location and speed.
If a mail server's response time is good, we usually provide results in less than 0.5 seconds. Unfortunately, some mail servers are not that fast, and email address verification can take more than 20 seconds.
Check how long a query took.
In our API response, you can see how long the email verification took in milliseconds.
E.g.:

If you check in your system how long an email verification takes, and it is different from the value provided in our API response, it is the communication time between your and our servers. The internet connection and the physical location mainly affect the communication speed between our servers.
