Ok Yahoo, Mail.ru, or aol.com Emails Bouncing

Why some Ok Yahoo or Mail.ru emails bounce and what can be done with them?

During email verification, we can tell if an email address exists. We do this with a so-called SMTP connection. We create a connection with the recipients' servers and initiate an SMTP connection. This is the same connection that is used for email sending. The only difference is that we do not send an email.

Yahoo, Mail.ru and aol.com have recently disabled a large number of accounts. The email accounts still exist; hence we detect them as Ok, but they send a bounce message due to account inactivity.

When verifying those accounts, we get an Ok response, but when an actual email is sent, they send a bounce message that the account is disabled.  If you experience that a lot of Yahoo, Mail.ru, or aol.com emails are returned as Risky, this is the reason behind it.

This affects only a small % of Yahoo's, Mail.ru's, and aol.com's ok emails, but be aware that this might happen. The only way to get this response from Yahoo, Mail.ru, and aol.com is by emailing those accounts. We never send an email during email verification, as we would be spamming your subscribers.

When can I use Yahoo, Mail.ru, and aol.com OK emails?

If your subscribers are real subscribers and have recently subscribed, you can use them.

When should I not use Yahoo, Mail.ru, and aol.com emails?

If you use an old database or collect emails from the internet, it is better not to use Yahoo and Mail.ru emails.

How can you ensure the validity of Yahoo, Mail.ru, and aol.com OK emails?

The most effective method is to actually send them an email. Don't worry, MillionVerifier ensures we don’t email your subscribers during the verification process. However, for an extra layer of certainty, consider using services like Scrubby. It discreetly sends a blank email to these addresses, helping you weed out any inactive Yahoo, Mail.ru, or aol.com emails, regardless of how you acquired them. Remember, the key is to maintain an engaged and valid subscriber list!
